Testimonials

PAST PRESIDENTS

"As a former secretary general of RIMUN Havelock town I have been privileged to gather vast amount of experiences and knowledge in many areas. The massive amount of responsibility acquired in the role has helped me improve in my leadership skills and nurture younger MUNers. During my time as a secretary general in RIMUN I had the oppurtunity of organising major events such as inter-school and all-island competitions successfully. It was a great, challenging and an unravelling experience to be the SG of this glorious club."

malitha pathirage,
secretary general 2020/21

"I owe a lot of what I have to RIMUN because of the skills and experience that it has given me. Before initiating the MUN club at Havelock Town I was someone who was afraid of speaking, leadership and problem solving. But after I took initiative I can certainly say I started doing well in school not only in extracurricular but also in Academics due to the study methods I obtained. I was given the opportunity to not only debate in Sri Lanka but represent Sri Lanka at a young age at various foreign conferences such as the Nepali Law college Model UN in which I was the youngest chair amongst many LLB holders. I strongly recommend Joining an MUN club as it gives you the confidence to face the outside world."

Secretary General, Charge De Affairs and Co Founder RIMUN Havelock Town (2016-2021)
