The Model United Nations (MUN) Club is one of the longest running clubs in Royal Institute, with a history of over 20 years! Throughout the years, RI MUN has produced numerous outstanding students, who have gone on to achieve greatness in Sri Lanka and abroad. RIMUN has been dominating Sri Lanka’s MUN arena since the early 2000’s, and has won countless awards in local as well as international conferences.

In essence, MUN simulates the United Nations, with the aims of public speaking, debate and diplomacy in mind. Not only are these activities fun and engaging, but provide skills that will be extremely useful in the real world. Pariticipating in MUN debates also provides members with a chance to get to know the ongoing issues and geopolitics of the world, which may be useful for other areas of life.
